The
K Club is one of Ireland's leading golf course complexes and
is host to the 2006 Ryder Cup. It is conveniently
located just half an hours drive from Dublin city centre.
There are two championship courses, the Palmer Course and
the Smurfit course, each deliberately different to avoid comparison.
The
Palmer course which will host the Ryder Cup makes clever use
of the surrounding natural woodland and the famous River Liffey,
one mile of which meanders through the grounds of the course.
It has hosted the Irish Open twice. The Smurfit course is
best described as an inland links course. It's construction
includes dramatic landscapes and 14 acres of water. it played
host this year to the Smurfit European Open.
The
course is always in immaculate condition and the hotel complex
offers top class luxury throughout.
