"Where the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea" that's where you'll find The Royal County Down Golf Club, one of Ireland's oldest, most scenic and highly rated golf courses.

Situated thirty mile south of Belfast, it is laid out beneath the gaze of the Mountains of Mourne and fringed by the impressive sweep of Dundrum Bay. As well as it being one of the worlds most beautiful courses, it is also one of the most challenging, with great swathes of heather and gorse lined fairways beneath vast sand hills, and wild grassy faced bunkers guarding subtly contoured green. It is spectacular to look at and even more thrilling to play.

"Royal County Down is a pure links, in the truest sense of the word. My advice to anyone playing this great course is to keep it very straight off the tee - stray from the fairways at your peril! It is a tremendous test of golf and the outward half especially is as fine a nine holes as I have ever played" TOM WATSON
