Things
to Do
The
Granville is one of Ireland's oldest hotels dating back
to the early 1800s. It has played host to many prominent
historical figures throughout the years including, Carlo
Bianconi - founder of Ireland's first public transport system,
Daniel O'Connell - known as "the Liberator", one
of Ireland's greatest historic and political figures and
Charles Stewart Parnell - The "Uncrowned King of Ireland"
(one of his last speeches was made from the first floor
window of the Granville Hotel now the Parnell Room).
